Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre, apostolic administrator of the Diocese of Knoxville, has asked the faithful of the diocese to join him in responding to the call of the Latin Catholic patriarch of Jerusalem for a day of prayer and fasting on Tuesday, Oct. 17, for peace and reconciliation in the Holy Land.
Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa has urged Catholics to organize times of prayer with Eucharistic adoration and recitation of the rosary “to deliver to God the Father our thirst for peace, justice, and reconciliation.”
Father Pete will lead a special Holy Hour in the main church on Tuesday, October 17th at 7PM. The Holy Hour will include praying of the rosary and silent periods of mediation. All are encouraged to join to pray for peace, justice and reconciliation in the Holy Land.
