  1. I just wondered what was the name of Jesus’ “brother” who became the Bishop of Jerusalem? Thanks, Toni

James the “brother of the Lord” is usually thought to be James the Bishop of Jerusalem.

To be honest, this is disputed. There are at least two James figures in the early Jesus movement and some would say even more. Figuring out which one did what is not an exact science. People have reconstructed it differently. What I’ve stated above is, however, a common identification.

  3. Your invitation to reflect on what type of house I am opened up into thinking about my heart as my house, the place where love is received and shared. It may be the heaviness of these times in which we are living and the isolation I am experiencing as I continue to shelter in place for at least another month but I really feel the urge, like Jesus, to turn things upside down.

  4. Thank you, Father for these classes. enjoy them & look forward to each episode. makes me think on a much deeper level. Also I find myself struggling in the past as well as in the present on how to keep my heart & soul a true house of God. Its such an on going process & I find myself so much aware of this in my daily life with family, friends & strangers!! Thank you again.
