In his environmental encyclical Laudato Si, Pope Francis offers many ways that people of good will can and should act responsibly in order to address the climate, biodiversity, and social inequality issues our planet faces - "Truly, much can be done!"[LS 180]. But as Christians, our primary action is prayer - either contemplative or community life - changing prayer. "Rather than a problem to be solved, the world is a joyful mystery to be contemplated with gladness and praise" [LS 12]. Our Week #2 Way to Care for Creation is to participate in a Laudato Si Prayer Circle, part of a global catholic movement for foster awareness and listening in order to hear the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor, and to answer that call with our own particular talents.
