You’ve heard the phrase “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle”, and Our Lady of Fatima has a great opportunity for all of us to do more of that! And why? “The earth, our home, is beginning to look more and more like an immense pile of filth [LS 21]. These problems are closely linked to a consumer-driven, throwaway culture” [LS 22] - strong but accurate words from our Pope Francis. Starting this week, there will be a bin in the corner near the OLOF nursery room (near the back door) which will accept packing peanuts, bubble wrap, foam wrap, air pillows, and reusable bubble mailers (no cardboard please!). Just bring it in and leave it to us! The Measons, a parish family and owners of Advanced Printing and Shipping in Maryville, have kindly offered to take and reuse these items. It takes a million small efforts to make a big difference in this world!
