Our Holy Father Pope Francis gave the world a great gift in 2015 - the publication of his encyclical "On Care for Our Common Home", or Laudato Si, meaning "Praised Be", in the words of Saint Francis in his Canticle of the Creatures. In paragraph 3, Pope Francis writes "I wish to address every person living on this planet". Our week #1 Way to Care for Creation is to begin to read Laudato Si, easily found at the Vatican website www.vatican.va. This document, read thoughtfully and prayerfully, enables us to think more globally about the impacts each of us has on the resources and fellow creatures of planet earth, and lays out the reasoning for respectful and responsible caring of God's creation.
